Review: Celeteque Hydration Make-Up Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes

One of the items I received in my welcome kit from the Celeteque Dermo Skin Circle is the Celeteque Hydration Make-Up Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes (whew!). It looks basically like wet wipes, except it has make-up remover in it instead of water.

celmr1It has 20 sheets, and the package is resealable (to keep the make-up remover fluid from evaporating). This pack costs Php160 and is available in major supermarkets and drugstores carrying Celeteque. The pack may be a little heavy, but it carries well enough and I was able to test this on one of my business trips. It works with most kinds of makeup and is very economical. I would usually just need one sheet to take all the makeup off my face. Here’s what a sheet of it looks like.

I have made a demonstration for you. Here I have most elements of everyday makeup, swatched on my arm. From left to right: BB cream (almost invisible), powder blush, powder eyeshadow, waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeliner, lipstick.

I used a sheet of makeup remover wipes and made a single swipe along the bottom of the row of swatches. Here’s what happened to my arm.

celmr4As you can see, it was able to remove most of everything in one swipe except for the waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Here are the makeup products on the wipe.

I did use the rest of the sheet to remove the rest of the makeup. It was of course successfull in removing everything, including the waterproof products. Here is the sheet after everything has been removed.

And my now bare arm. (Pardon the redness. I have very sensitive skin and just a little rubbing can cause this reaction.)

There you have it!

Pros: Convenient for travel; Effective; Availability; Affordable

Cons: none really
