What I Packed: Skincare (Caribbean 2015)

A continuation of the What I Packed series in my latest trip, this time for skincare. This is basically what I brought.

I packed some of these in the same Ellana makeup bag that I used as there were still some space, and the rest in a generic mesh zip pouch. What I have are, going from left to right top row first, then bottom:

Bifesta Eye and Lip Makeup Remover – big bottle, but very little product left. I figure it should not be a big deal to bring since it’s practically empty.

Olay Moisturizer – again a big bottle. For some reason I couldn’t find┬ámy travel sized Celeteque Hydration moisturizer so I brought this instead.

Marks & Spencer Body Powder – a big bottle yet again! I had a travel sized bottle of Johnson’s baby powder, but it was almost empty and I am a huge body powder user that I’m sure it would run out on me. I brought this one instead.

Jergens Ultra Healing Body Lotion – This is the smallest bottle I can find in my stash, which wasn’t so bad all things considered.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-touch Sunblock – I didn’t have any other sunblock available, so this went in my bag.

Etude House Dear Girls Be Clear Moisturizer – is actually not much a moisturizer, but a facial sunblock. Again, no other option available, so into the bag it went.

Nivea Extra Whitening Deodorant – is the only deodorant I will use, so a fresh one went into my bag.

Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner – finally something travel sized! A no brainer toner that is an automatic bring.

Bifesta Agecare Cleansing Lotion – also in travel sized! I filled this up from my current big bottle, and is a great partner to the eye and lip makeup remover.

Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat – all of the Vitress bottles I have are small enough for travel, but this is the tiniest! Love this thing!

Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash – apparently this is the only surviving one from my Celeteque travel kit as I couldn’t find its toner and moisturizer partners.

Pure n’ Fresh Cologne in Tropical Fresh – I’m not such a huge perfume person so I didn’t really care what fragrance I brought as long as it was small, and smelled decent.

There we go! Thanks for reading! Next and last in this series will be my craft carry.

Unboxing My Peachy Pink Sisters Prize

It’s christmas in summer! I certainly felt that way when I received my prize from the Peachy Pink Sisters Post-Valentines Giveaway yesterday. It came in this wonderful prettily wrapped box.

Upon removing the ribbon and mesh wrap, I find a green box with nice prints that I thought were comics but were actually black and white photos of the prize contents. I love the effort that Dawn and Liz put into this!

I even get a handwritten note! Handwritten! I’m so touched!

And without further ado, here are the contents:

Just how awesome are these? I’m especially excited to try out the mascara (I’m running out on my current one, Etude House Oh m’Eye Lash), the eyeshadows, and the necklace. In fact, I already used the mascara today and wore the necklace to work! Check it out:

To Dawn and Liz, thank you so much for these! I am enjoying them a lot! I also love the actual box that they came in. If I’m not mistaken, it’s a Salad Box box. I don’t have one yet, so I really appreciate that you’ve chosen it to put my prizes in. It adds to the feeling of christmas, y’know?

My First Haul Post

My first haul post! I am so excited! I was finally able to get my shopping done this week, and I got the following:

Three San San nail polishes from HBC, Php37 each. Shades: Amethyst, Arctic Green, and Lavender Blush. I needed a purple polish to go with my cocktail dress that I wore to a wedding. I bought two shades of purple just to be safe. I’ll be putting up the swatches soon.

Lemony Flutter Cuticle Cream from Lush, Php450; Lander Nail Polish Remover from Landmark, Php129.75; Nivea Baby Smoothy Cream from Landmark, Php164.75. As I have developed a rather serious hobby in nail painting, I decided I should be willing to invest in products that will help protect my nails. I’ve seen a lot of recommendations from other lacqueristas for Lemony Flutter, and I’m glad to have found some tubs in the Trinoma branch of Lush. I am also about to run out of my Caronia nail polish remover, so I grabbed this bottle of of Lander. I’ve also gotten raves about the Smoothy Cream, used as a moisturizer. I can’t wait to try this out.

Elf Brightening Eyeshadows, Php129.75; Fanny Serrano Dark Brown Eyebrow Pencil, Php65; Artist Studio Concealer Brush, Php49.75; all from Landmark Trinoma. I wanted more neutral eyeshadow colors to play with, so I grabbed this neutral palette from the Elf counter. I also broke my Nichido eye pencil, so I decided to try out a new brand. Lastly, I’m trying to complete a set of makeup brushes, and I decided to get a concealer brush for now.

White plastic trays from Landmark Trinoma, 3 for Php49.75. I needed something to organize the small mess that is my makeup collection. These trays are cheap enough, and small enough to fit my dresser/shelf.

I can’t wait to try them all out! Hopefully I can get things properly documented so you can see some of these reviewed here.
