It’s been quite a long while since I wrote one of these (since September, to be exact, for the Perfectly Pristine Glamourbox)! The first Glamourbox of 2015 has finally arrived, and this one is an exclusive box pa! Eye of Horus teams up with Glamourbox for an eye-exclusive treat called Eye Love It!
They say that the eyes are the windows to our souls. Mesmerize everyone with a little help from cult favorites, as we’ve teamed up with Eye of Horus to help you play up those peepers and achieve the perfect sultry look! Awaken your inner Goddess this summer!
For Php695, anything that Eye of Horus throws in this box is already a winner. Most of their products are at the Php900+ range, so even a single eye pencil will already be sulit. I did not hesitate to grab this box the moment they opened the subscription. Shall we see what’s inside?
The Eye Love It! Glamourbox box is slightly different this time around. It’s a kraft box with Glamourbox emblazoned on the lid in gold, which is quite in line with the Eye of Horus theme. This is not a new box though, as they use this packaging in their christmas sets. It’s still just as good quality as their regular box packaging. Upon opening the box we are greeted with a special black Eye of Horus tissue paper.
The welcome card greets us after unwrapping the EoH paper. Here are the items in this box, in order of my preference.
As an advanced spoiler, there are the usual Eye of Horus products inside this box, but this item is my favorite. A shiny gold ankh necklace! I can now channel my inner Death! This is a beautiful and light ankh pendant on a pretty long gold chain, although I doubt that this is real gold. I am already wearing this as I write this post! I love this accessory! This is valued by the curation card at Php580.
The ankh symbolizes the breath of life and the key of the Nile. It often appeared in Egyptian tomb paintings and other art, and connects to strength and health. Add some sparkle to that #ootd with this Egyptian-inspired accessory!
My next favorite item is actually a tie. First is the Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara. It has already come out in the very first Glamourbox, if I’m not mistaken. Since I was not able to subscribe to that, this is my first EoH mascara and I’m suitably excited to try it out. It will take some time though since I’m finishing up my currently opened mascaras first. This is valued at Php990 for 8g of product.
If you’re after perfect natural mascara that won’t run, smudge or clump, Eye of Horus goddess mascara is exactly what you’re looking for. Formulated in the style of the ancient Egyptians, Eye of Horus mascara uses natural, non-irritating ingredients, making it ideal for sensitive eyes. It strengthens and lengthens for ultimate Goddess lashes.
The other second favorite is of course the Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil. I was expecting at least one goddess pencil in the box, and I was not mistaken. I’m happy to get a shade I don’t have yet, and Teal Malachite looks like it’s going to be a hit! Similar to my other two goddess pencils, it comes with a smudger on the other end. I’m definitely trying this out on my next non-office look! This pencil costs Php990 for 1.2g of product.
Mesmerize with ancient Metallic Malachite, the teal crystal of love. Adorn and enhance your eyes with this hypnotic shimmering jewel-like formula. Glides effortlessly, waterproof, smudgeproof and long lasting. PARABEN FREE.
I also received an Eye of Horus Sharpener, which will definitely come in handy now that I have three goddess pencils. It looks very classy and is stamped with the Eye of Horus logo. It’s almost too pretty to use! This one costs Php295.
German made custom sharpener delicately sharpens with precision your Eye of Horus Goddess Pencils.
Lastly, the box included this Eye of Horus Facial Bamboo Mitt. To be honest I’m not really thrilled with this item, mostly because it looks like an afterthought, and also because I cannot use abrasive items on my face anyway. This costs Php480.
Scrub those dead cells away with our exclusive Facial Bamboo Mitt, guaranteed to leave skin soft and smooth after each use.
My impressions of the Eye Love It! Eye of Horus Glamourbox: This box is a great entry into the Eye of Horus brand. It provides both the mascara and a goddess pencil, which are their two most known products. The fact that they included a good quality accessory and a sharpener really bumps up the value of this box. I would have liked to try their newly-released eyebrow pencils but maybe that’s hoping for too much. It’s a solid exclusive box, and a great starter for 2015.
Value review: If we go with the values written in the curation card, the total box value is at Php3335. If we remove the value of the facial mitt, the value is at Php2855, which is still quite a good deal given the subscription fee of Php695. In fact it is already a great value with just the goddess pencil or the mascara, since either of those is already at Php990. Throwing in the ankh necklace and the sharpener is putting icing on this already delicious cake.
I definitely recommend you to get this box! It might still be available at Glamourbox.ph.
